3M makes everything

No seriously, they do. They are an American multinational conglomerate, but I don't know why they produce PROVISIONAL DRIVING PLATES used in Singapore only!

(It's only used in Singapore right?)

Anyway that's not the point, the point is that, as of last Saturday, 13th June 2009, I COULD OFFICIALLY TAKE OFF MY "NEW LICENSE" PLATE!!

It's very very hard to believe that I've been driving for one year cause I don't really get to use the car for my own purposes. Too much liability to my parents, and I don't like that. I really really can't wait for myself to be free from my parents!

Not that I don't love them, it's just... a very constricted feeling when you're so sheltered and so accountable to 2 people. No freedom?

Yeah anyway. I just want to say it out loud, nothing much about it. I've taken the plates off as seen from the picture above and no you can't have them cause I'm already passing them to someone else who is about to take her driving test next week!

You know what's creepy? Super random but last week in the midst of all the planning for Europe and everything (where everything is literally done virtually. HAHA love that phrase) I was wondering what the hell would we do without the Internet.

THEN LO AND BEHOLD MY INTERNET DIED ON ME LAST NIGHT!

The modem was too old or something, anyway my house line was down too cause it's all connected. So my dad and brother called Singtel up (not me since I wasn't too bummed out about the Internet dying, at most it's only a few days what), trying to fix it.

Initially the repair people could only come on Thursday (like seriously, SINGTEL, in this time and age you honestly expect us to live without Internet for 5 days? Total crap man) but they came today!

So I have a new modem and new SSID and new WEP key and everything.

But while I was deprived of Internet, I spent time with my dad watching Animal Planet last night...

And today afternoon playing Cluedo with my sister!!!

"Professor Plum did it with the Candlestick in the Ballroom!"

Anyway, yeah. Just goes to show that without technology I will spend a lot of time with my family.

HM. Oh, the literally virtually thing. Both really have the same meaning (which means "really, without exaggeration or whatever).

But literally ALSO means in a strict sense. Whereas virtually also means erm, in cyber space obviously. Virtual?

Anyway I like to use both interchangeably for the first meaning (eg The whole planet was literally wiped out, the whole planet was virtually wiped out), and I just find it funny when you can use one word for it's 1st meaning, and the other word for it's 2nd meaning.

Aiya this is damn stupid why on Earth am I talking about English?!! Gonna sleep now. Deb's coming back in a few days!
